Extracurricular Activities

After-school programs and extracurricular activities provide a richer environment to help students learn and grow. At Roberts Academy, students have access to a variety of programs and activities to explore their interests.

Programs

Roberts Academy After-School Clubs

Roberts offers a variety of clubs from which students can select that best suit their interests. Soccer, Princess Ballet, Step Dance, Jump Start Theater, Book Clubs, CCM Music Afterschool, Girl Scouts, Running Club, ProScan Chess, Mission2Move, Girls Who Code, STEM Bike Club, and Activities Beyond the Classroom Clubs including Martial Arts, Write Light Photography, and Sign Language.

A hot meal is served each evening between 5:00-6:00 p.m. in partnership with Children’s Hunger Alliance.

Whiz Kids and UNPLUGGED tutoring/Mentoring offered on Wednesdays.

Adult Spanish Literacy Classes

Native Spanish speakers are invited to take part in literacy classes to hone their verbal and written skills. Free childcare offered for children.

Welcome Center for Family Talks

Family Talks: Educational topics, coffee, friendship, and fellowship. Free childcare offered for children.

Adult English Classes

English classes are offered for adults, learning practical information as it pertains to everyday living and needs. Free childcare offered for children.

Learning Together Sessions for Parents and Children 0-5

Join us for important learning sessions, as parents are the child’s first teacher. Families that learn together, grow together. Transportation available.

English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

English classes available, through Santa Maria Community Services staff and volunteers serving many adults and children from non-English speaking households. It is estimated that close to 3,000 Price Hill residents are non-English speaking. Free childcare offered for children ages 3-10.

Meeting Time: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
