Principal
Principal Joshua Halliwell
Joshua Halliwell is the proud Principal of Roberts Academy in Cincinnati Public Schools.
Mr. Halliwell has served as an administrator and teacher since 2012. He has taught second and third grade at Marion Community Schools in Indiana and fourth grade at Hamilton Southeastern Schools. He was an assistant principal at Indianapolis Public Schools, and most recently, interim principal of IDEA Public Schools of Price Hill.
During that time, Mr. Halliwell demonstrated outstanding leadership in creating a safe, welcoming, and relationship-driven culture reducing suspensions significantly, building community partnerships to meet the needs of all students and families, and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to raise the rigor and go from a state rating of an F to a B.
Mr. Halliwell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8, from Western Governors University (2012) and his Master of Education degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (2016). He then attended Indiana Wesleyan University to receive his Principal Licensure (2017), and most recently completed the National Principal Academy Fellowship with Relay Graduate School of Education (2020).
With his Master of Education degree in TESOL, Mr. Halliwell is passionate about serving the Roberts' community to ensure equity, inclusion, and access for all learners.
To guarantee students, families, and staff are supported and successful, Mr. Halliwell leads, coaches staff, and serves all stakeholders with the belief that relationships matter. With his unwavering commitment to excellence, he believes every student has value and untapped potential and is excited to serve the Roberts' community.
