Extracurricular Activities

After-school programs and extracurricular activities provide a richer environment to help students learn and grow. At Roberts Paideia Academy, students have access to a variety of programs and activities to explore their interests.

Activities Beyond the Classroom

Activities Beyond the Classroom staff provides an array of wonderful services through the 21st Century Grant, to support our students through the extended day during the after-school program.

The services offered include:

  • AM Champions (before school) math and literacy enrichment
  • PM Champions (after school) math and literacy tutoring
  • Champions after school youth development program.

Whiz KidsUnplugged: working on a project.

Tutors — Our Lady of Visitation tutors during enrichment in the after-school program.

English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

English classes available. Through Santa Maria Community Services staff and volunteers serve many adults and children from non-English speaking households. It is estimated that close to 3,000 Price Hill residents are non-English speaking. Free childcare offered for children ages 3-10.

Meeting Time: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Mobile Guatemalan Consulate    

The Guatemalan Consulate will be at Roberts Academy on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25 to serve community members with services for passports, documentation, birth certificates, and other necessary information.

Meeting Time: Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. and will serve the community until 5:00 p.m.

Proven Curriculum: Total Physical Response (TPR) Methodology

Two-hour classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students.

Meeting Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Welcome Center for Educational Topics (Spanish)

Coffee Hour. Educational topics, coffee, friendship, and fellowship.

Meeting Time: Every Tuesday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
